A helicopter belonging to the Finnish Defence Forces' Utti Jager Regiment either crashed or force-landed in Anjalankoski in southeastern Finland at about midday (GMT+2), Lieutenant-Colonel Juha Pekkola, the chief of staff of the crack airborne infantry regiment, told the Finnish News Agency (STT) on Wednesday.The pilot escaped unscathed.The duty rescue chief said no one else was on board the helicopter.The aircraft in question is a McDonnell Douglas Hughes 500, a light US-made helicopter designed for observation, armed reconnaissance and assault. The Finnish army uses the type for training its helicopter pilots.THe regiment has established an investigative committee./STT/
